Armin Luntzer is a research assistant at the Department of Astrophysics of the University of Vienna. He is part of a working group with a focus on the development of Sun-like stars in their final stages of evolution, the so-called Asymptotic Giant Branch stars, but also has a subdivision involved in the software development for on-board data processing payloads. His responsibility is the development of device drivers and other low-level software components for CHEOPS and he is also participating in similar capacity in the upcoming SMILE, PLATO and ATHENA missions.
