Tim Helfers received his Dipl-Ing degree in Electronics at the Berufsakademie of Ravensburg in 1995. 
He joined Airbus DS (Space Division) in the same year, and started with FPGA and PCB developments. 
In the coming years he worked as system engineer or project manager for various on-board processing equipments 
such as TerraSAR On-Board Computer, AlphaSAT Integrated Payload Controller and for various processing product developments.
Today he is team leader of the VHDL and Software development group within Airbus DS Electronics Germany and holder of 2 European patents.
