Gerard Rauwerda received his MSc degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Twente (The Netherlands) in 2002. He obtained his PhD degree at the same university in 2008 for his research on heterogeneous, reconfigurable multi-core SoC architectures for software defined radio. During his PhD, Gerard co-founded the Dutch SME Recore Systems BV in 2005. Recore Systems develops multi-core DSP and NoC IP as well as many-core processor platforms. Gerard's interests lie in fault-tolerant many-core data processing platforms and programmer-friendly efficient parallel programming of many-core systems.
