Jamin Naghmouchi is currently the Project Director and Chief Technical Scientist of the Center for VLSI Systems at iTUBS. On of his tasks is the coordination of the EU H2020 project S3NET which studies payload processing, interfacing and communication within networks of fractionated and distributed sensors for EO applications. iTUBS is a spin-off of the Technical University of Braunschweig and strongly connected with it. The TU Braunschweig still holds 40% of the shares of iTUBS the other 60% are held by the local University Association (Braunschweigischer Hochschulbund). The main purpose of iTUBS is to establish industry contacts for the TU Braunschweig and help transferring knowledge and technology between industry and scientific institutes. Thus, Institutes of the TU Braunschweig are able to offer their resources to industrial partners. From 2012 to April 2016 Jamin was responsible for TU Braunschweig project management as well as for design and development of algorithms and software applications. He was involved in two EU FP7 projects (QI2S and Macspace) both targeting on-board processing for space-born earth observation missions (Hyperspectral Optical and SAR). From 2009 to 2012 Jamin worked as a research engineer for the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center in the field of network computing and parallel algorithm design for the IBM PowerEN platform. This Platform was intended as a wire-speed processor for use in network security (deep packet inspection) applications and low-latency financial computing. He was hired on a full-time basis even before finshing his Diplom/Master degree in Industrial and Electrical Engineering in 2010.
