The 26th  SpaceWire Working Group Meeting will take place from Tuesday 4th of April PM to Thursday  6th of April AM  2017 at ESTEC, Noordwijk. It will be followed by the SpW WG Steering Committe meeting on 6th of April PM.

We present architecture and protocols for Plug-and-Play in SpaceWire networks, SpaceWire PnP managers operation. The research has been done by SUAI in collaboration with ISS Reshetnev company and would be applied in future satellites design.

11:00 Transmission lines and SpaceWire

A SpaceWire link is made from several transmission lines, comprising the Data and Strobe signals in each direction. Faithful transmission can be achieved when either the source impedance of the Driver, or the termination impedance of the Receiver, closely match the impedance of the PCB-traces and/or cable. If there is a mismatch, problems can occur. This presentation will explore the effects of some possibly unexpected mismatches.

The physical layer and how to do a compliance test of a SpaceWire enabled unit has been discussed in the frame of DDR processing in the SpW Std Rev 1 ECSS WG. A discussion shall be triggered to assess to possibilities and to foster the process of finding of an agreed approach.

14:00 Status on MicroMach(R) development - the ESA TRP for a compact, Impedance matched SpaceWire connector

Axon' Cable will present the current status on the new SpW connector development, and will specifically outline the pros and cons of a current design choice for a key element in the connector design, with the aim of gaining informal user feedback from participants in the WG session to help inform the choice.
