Eng. Fábio Morgado is a PhD researcher at the Aerospace Centre of Excellence of Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at University of Strathclyde, where he is conducting research under the topic of Multi-disciplinary modelling of the aerothemodynamically-induced fragmentation of re-entering bodies, mainly focusing on the development of a multi-fidelity framework for multi-body reentry and demise. He finished is aerospace master degree at Instituto Superior Técnico in 2019. In his thesis, he developed a methodology to perform preliminary design and optimizations of launch vehicles.

Fábio is author of 5+ journal publications. He has previously been a research assistant at the University of Aveiro, where he conducted wind tunnel experiments and developed a numerical model to analyze the particle-flow interaction of moisturized particles.
