Dear colleagues,
To build on the strong collaboration already taking place across the Agency in the field of quantum computing, TEC-SFA is pleased to announce a dedicated ESA-only event:
QC@ESA – A Quantum Computing Workshop
📅 10 March 2026
📍 ESTEC Newton ( Hybrid)
This initiative follows the successful format of the AI@ESA workshop and aims to bring together everyone at ESA working in or around quantum computing — across all directorates, domains, and disciplines.
Whether you’re working on fundamental research, engineering applications, or mission-enabling technologies, this is a unique opportunity to share insights, exchange ideas, and explore synergies.
Scope:
The event will feature a keynote and short presentations addressing recent, ongoing, and future activities involving quantum computing. While the presented activities can involve other quantum technologies, the main focus needs to lie on computing, i.e., presentations that purely focus on quantum sensing, quantum key distribution, or quantum networks are out of scope.
Key Dates:
- 1 October 2026 Call for papers Abstract submissions OPEN
- 1 Feb 2026: Deadline for submitting presentation topics (only a short description is required).
- 1 October 2026: Preliminary program release and registration opening.
- 10th of March 2026: QC@ESA event at ESTEC.
There will be no paper publications. This is an internal event, and your slides will not be shared externally. Registration is free and mandatory for both in-person and online attendance. Registration is restricted to ESA staff and contractors (an ESA email address is required).
Looking forward to seeing you there!
We look forward to your contributions and participation!
