Geant4-DNA 2015 Tutorial
Welcome to the homepage of the 2015 Geant4-DNA tutorial.
This two-day tutorial will take place in Hiroshima, Japan, at the same location as the 11th Geant4 Space Users' Workshop, at the Hiroshima Institute of Technology. Please see venue details at this link.
During the tutorial, students will learn how to use Geant4-DNA for the modeling of early biological damage of radiation at the DNA scale. This encompasses the simulation of the physical, physico-chemical and chemical stages of radiation action with biological matter. Combination with geometries of biological targets will also be shown.
The morning sessions will be dedicated to lectures. Hands-on sessions will be proposed during the afternoon. Lunch will be taken on site.
Participants are expected to be already familiar with Geant4 and are asked to attend the tutorial with a recent laptop equipped with Windows or Mac and running exclusively VMware Player or VMware Fusion with our Geant4 10.2 BETA Virtual Machine already installed. Registration will open on June 8th, 2015. Participation is limited to 30 participants. Attendence is free, but participants are requested to take care of their travel and housing.
