ESA invites you to the "Zero Debris Charter co-development kick-off webinar." This online event will take place on July 10th, 2023, from 13:00-14:00.

ESA, propelled by its Clean Space initiative, has consistently pioneered new technologies, standards, and operational practices to mitigate and remediate space debris. The Zero Debris approach, representing Clean Space’s proactive move towards protecting our orbital environment, is an ambitious pledge to drastically reduce our debris footprint, aspiring to leave no more debris in valuable orbits by 2030.

Recognizing the transformative potential of the Zero Debris approach and encouraged by our Member States, ESA is introducing and facillitating the Zero Debris Charter initiative, under the Protect accelerator. The goal of this initiative is to unite all forward-thinking actors, public and private, around shared, ambitious, and precise objectives to advance space safety and sustainability.

Through an open co-development process, the Zero Debris Charter aims to establish a community of like-minded actors from Europe and beyond. Together, we will work on shaping a precise and shared vision for space sustainability by 2030, paving the way for an ambitious European roadmap.

This kick-off webinar marks the the start of this collaborative process. It will provide prospective partners with a comprehensive view of the Charter initiative, detailed co-development timeline, and present the inaugural 'draft zero' of the Zero Debris Charter.

Participation is free and entirely online. Everyone is invited to register using their corporate email addresses. Please note that due to potential high demand, ESA reserves the right to moderate the registrations. A link to the webinar will be distributed on the morning of the event.

Join us as we collectively work towards a cleaner and safer space environment, leading by example and supporting the deployment of the Zero Debris approach. Let's shape the future of space together.
