Preparing for the Technical Booklet Sessions

We will have a short time to collaborate on the Zero Debris Technical Booklet, so it will be important to prepare for the working sessions. Please follow the steps below to prepare effectively.

1. Read the Technical Booklet

A working familiarity with the Booklet will be required to contribute effectively during the working sessions. You can read Issue 1.0 of the Booklet here:

https://esamultimedia.esa.int/docs/spacesafety/Zero_Debris_Technical_Booklet.pdf

2. Review the Coordination Structures

We have been preparing a new coordination structure that will govern how we work on the Booklet. Please take the time to review the agreed structure so we can quickly adopt it during the week. You can find a description of the coordination structures here:

3. Join one or more Technical Domains

Work on the Zero Debris Technical Booklet will be organised through technical domains. Please register to join one or more technical domains using the following form:

4. Prepare for the Sessions

Please review the agenda for the sessions here: LINK TO AGENDA

During the week, we will ask organisations to share a 10-minute presentation detailling how they plan to use the Booklet. This could, for example, be to shape their research and development plans, for lobbying, to connect with other industry players, or to identify commercial opportunities. To request a speaking slot, please email cleanspace@esa.int.

5. Identify Which Technical BookletNeeds your Organisation is Addressing

During Session 2.1 we will find out who is developing solutions to the needs identified in the Zero Debris Booklet. We will also find who needs the solutions identified, and thus will be able to connect suppliers with those who need their product.
