Dear Colleagues and Friends in Space!
We are happy to announce that the 1st Enceladus surface model workshop, organised by ESA, will take place October 14-16 at ESA/ESTEC in The Netherlands.
Registration to the workshop and abstracts submission (see link below) will be open until September 23rd 2026.
The workshop is a international forum addressing all topics related to Enceladus surface modelling.
We encourage contributions in the following areas:
Experimental modelling (cryo-chamber, compation, mechanical properties, etc)
Observational constraints and interpretation from Cassini and beyond
Surface Modelling (Compaction, thermal/sintering) and validation
Exosphere and plume modelling/studies in the context of surface models
The forum is fully open and contributions addressing the full range of topics (see below a non-exhaustive complementary list) are welcome!
Laboratory capabilities and studies
Grain-scale vs continuum approaches
Coupling with plume dynamics
Space weathering effects
What observations would most constrain the models
Feel free to express any suggestion in the survey included on the left menu of this page !
To register and submit your contributions, please use the following link: https://indico.esa.int/event/666/registrations
Feel free to forward to potentially interested colleagues.
Should you have any question, please don't hesitate to contact us!
Take care and we hope to see you at ESTEC in October!
Best Regards
