Description

ESA is seeking peer reviewers for proposals submitted to the open ESA call titled, "Lunar Science Building Blocks: An Announcement of Opportunity for Scientific Instruments for Moon Exploration".

Please visit here for information on this Announcement of Opportunity and to learn more about the scope of the expected proposals and associated review criteria. Topics to be addressed by the proposals are discussed here.

We are looking for scientific reviewers with expertise across a broad range of exploration science disciplines, instrumentation and measurement techniques.

Prospective Peer Reviewers will require to have availability during the review period of September to November 2026 and to have a minimum academic qualification of PhD or be actively involved in a current PhD studentship.

There are no constraints on nationality or geographical location. Please note that reviews are required to be conducted in English.

Financial compensation for peer reviewers will be offered where eligible and within terms and conditions.

We will respond to prospective reviewers in September, once the Announcement of Opportunity proposals have been submitted and after assessing reviewer suitability with respect to the received proposals. Thereafter more detailed information on the review process and reviewer terms of reference will be shared.

We look forward to receiving your registration of interest to supporting this review and to contributing to advancing lunar exploration science.

Registration will stay open until 4 September 2026, 23.59 (CEST), however we encourage you to please register your interest as soon as possible as this will help us in preparing the review.
