Description

The GODOT Community Workshop will take place at ESA’s European Space Operations Centre (ESOC), located in Darmstadt, Germany, on the 28th and 29th of June 2023.

The European Space Agency wants to promote coordination and cooperation among users of GODOT, GENEOS other projects which make up the GODOT community. To achieve this goal, we would like to create awareness among community members of the work currently being carried out on core software and user community applications.

We also welcome offers of contributions from the community, to share how you are using the software or to offer inputs and recommendations to the community.

A detailed agenda will be shared before the meeting. The tentative workshop sessions include the following:

  1. Presentations by GODOT/GENEOS core developers
  2. Tutorials on the use of software for mission analysis and mission operations
  3. Q&A sessions for users
  4. Community presentations
  5. Discussions on way forward for GODOT development

        Testing GODOT in Flight Dynamics

GODOT has unit tests in the repository, but many more demanding tests are performed during the process of validating each mission in preparation for operations. This involves regression tests, system tests, simulations and of course using the software to perform actual spacecraft operations.
The full testing system in flight dynamics is outlined here.
