Close-Proximity Operations Workshop

This workshop is dedicated to refining the safety guidelines for Close-Proximity Operations (CPO) in orbit. As we prepare to publish the updated guidelines, this workshop serves as a platform to:

  • Identify Key Non-Human Rated Guidelines: We will pinpoint essential guidelines that ensure the safety of rendezvous, proximity, and capture operations, crucial for the evolution of design guidelines.
  • Prepare for ESA's Zero Debris Standards: Our discussions will help prepare the key design guidelines for inclusion in the 2026/2030 ESA Zero debris standards, marking a significant step towards sustainable space operations.
  • Discuss Verification and Validation: Engage in in-depth discussions on the methods for verifying and validating the key guidelines, ensuring the safety and reliability of CPO.

This workshop is an opportunity for experts and stakeholders to contribute to the development of safer space operations.
