The Zero Debris Technical Booklet grows into a Zero Debris Week!

 

The workshop that aims to co-create the zero debris technical booklet will be expanded to include several activities related to the application of the zero debris approach.

 

Join the Zero Debris Week, a week packed with events that focus on the application of the zero debris approach. The event will run from Tuesday, 25th of June at 10:30 AM (CET) to Friday, 28th at 1:00 PM.

 

Event overview

 

The week will kick off with an overview of the zero debris approach. 

 

THEMIS – Final presentation and demonstration 

Later that day, we will have the final presentation of the THEMIS project, an operational software for tracking the health of the environment and missions in space. During this 4-hour event, the THEMIS software will be demonstrated to spacecraft operators and space policy regulators, including a hands-on tutorial.

 

Space Circular Economy Workshop

At the end of this first day, we will ask our participants to take part in a workshop on the Circular Economy in space.

 

Zero Debris Technical Booklet

On Wednesday, 26th of June, and Thursday, 27th of June, we will host the Zero Debris Technical Booklet Workshop, an interactive workshop focused on the collaborative development of the Zero Debris Technical Booklet. The workshop will consist of four technical sessions, each of which thematically groups the Zero Debris Targets and Principles.

 

Close-Proximity Operations Workshop

The week will wrap up with the Close-Proximity Operations Workshop on Friday, 28th of June, where we will identify a set of key non-human rated guidelines ensuring the safety of rendezvous, proximity, and capture operations.
