Description

Requirements Tracking (aka Specification coverage) is getting more and more attention, and is critical for space projects. Unfortunately, tracking Verification vs Requirements is often handled manually, which is very time-consuming, error-prone and boring.
UVVM’s Specification coverage was developed in cooperation with ESA to provide a really efficient solution
to Requirements Tracking and the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM), and has resulted in a very user friendly solution that significantly improves FPGSA quality and development efficiency.

The tool automatically generates the reports you need for both mission-critical and safety projects, and in fact for any project where quality is important.
UVVM is free and Open Source and also provides lots of other time saving and quality improving features, like Log and Alert handling, Constrained random, Functional coverage, BFMs and VVCs for lots of interfaces, Scoreboards, Watchdogs, etc...
This presentation gives a brief overview of Specification Coverage before going into more details of proper Requirements Tracking. It also shows what is provided with UVVM and how this could be applied to your testbench.
