The BLAST Workshop aims to bring together the European launcher community to exchange knowledge and foster collaboration on the development of advanced GNC technologies.
While previous editions of BLAST focused on GNC technologies themselves, the 3rd edition will examine how the adoption of advanced GNC solutions impacts, and is constrained by, other system domains.
In order to foster cross-disciplinary discussion, this workshop edition is integrated within the ESA GNC & ICATT Conference and will be held in person in Sevilla (Spain) on:
Thursday, 1st October 2026
Structure of the workshop
The workshop is structured around two panel sessions featuring experts from major space agencies, launcher system and subsystem development companies. The panellists will address questions prepared by our internal moderators, as well as posed by the audience.
The topics of the two panel sessions are:
- Trajectory and Safety, covering trajectory design, mission analysis, operational constraints and safety aspects
- GNC Implementation, addressing issues related to software, avionics, system integration and fault tolerance
The list of confirmed panellists is available here.
