ESA invites you to the Space Safety Industry Day 2026.
ESA’s Space Safety programme is dedicated to protecting our planet, its people and critical infrastructure from natural hazards from space as well as humanmade ones.
The Space Safety Industry Day informs industry about the opportunities around the Programme’s activities for the years 2025-2028. The event will take place on 16 June 2026, at ESTEC (Noordwijk, HOLLAND), from 8h to 18h.
The Space Safety team will present opportunities across its activity spectrum, ranging from Cornerstone missions to smaller missions and projects to respond to hazards through mitigation, prevention and remediation measures.
The morning session will feature thematic presentations across the three Space Safety domains of space weather, planetary defence and space sustainability. They will highlight upcoming industrial opportunities, including a dedicated overview of the Competitiveness Element.
ESA Space Safety’s small missions and projects work towards:
-
A clean and zero debris future
-
Technologies for a growing space traffic
-
Predicting asteroid impacts
-
Space weather services and sensors
-
The competitiveness segment
The Space Safety Programme’s three Cornerstones:
-
Space weather: Vigil
-
Planetary defence: Ramses
-
ADRIOS (Active Debris Removal and In-Orbit Servicing): RISE, ClearSpace-1 and CAT
The afternoon session will focus on industry collaboration through pre-scheduled B2B meetings and open networking opportunities.
These activities provide opportunities for industrial leadership across all supply chain levels, supported by the Competitiveness Element to help mature and de-risk private initiatives with ESA as an anchor customer.
We look forward to welcoming industry professionals, researchers, and stakeholders to strengthen partnerships and advance the future of space safety and space sustainability.
