Workshop on Gear Technology

will take place at ESA/ESTEC - Noordwijk, The Netherlands, Newton room on the 15th of June 2016.

The Workshop will give European entities in industry and academic institutions the opportunity to present and discuss their latest research and development related to gear design, in particular:

  • Software to design gears
  • Lubrication, materials, heat and surface treatments
  • Mechanical and life testing
  • Geometrical alignment

Representatives of the European space community are encouraged to participate in the workshop, which aims at reviewing, discussing and promoting the related approaches and competences in this domain of space mechanisms.

A discussion forum and an optional exhibition of hardware and software items will be offered.

The workshop will be followed by:

Mechanisms Final Presentation Days 2016

which will also take place at ESA/ESTEC - Noordwijk, The Netherlands, Newton room on the 16th and 17th of June 2016.

The ESA Mechanisms section hosts the annual Final Presentation Days to disseminate the results of research and development activities to interested parties from the ESA member states. The Final Presentation Days represent an opportunity to gain a complete overview of recently completed activities, and the possibility to discuss them with colleagues from the space mechanisms community.

Venue

ESA/ESTEC - Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Newton room.
