Join us for the 2nd instalment of IoT4EO Workshops, a forward-looking assembly set to convene at ESA-ESTEC in Newton 2 on 2-3 December 2024. The workshop will have a similar format (2 half-days, a social event in the evening, and a hybrid "in-person/online" format) as the 1st instalment in February 2023. The workshop will be divided into two parts:
This workshop is a collaborative effort between the European Space Agency (ESA) and other Space Agencies via IOAG, alongside significant industrial contributions from Airbus Defence & Space and OHB System. Its aim is to showcase the results and create a forum for consolidating a standardisation roadmap that was identified through ESA System Studies for integrating LPWAN/IoT technologies with Earth Observation (EO) satellites in Low Earth Orbit (LEO), focusing on low power and low-data-rate connectivity

The European Space Agency (ESA) has prepared various inputs for this workshop, which we encourage all interested parties and participants to provide feedback prior to the event. The results of these inputs and feedback will serve as the basis for discussions and the development of a preliminary roadmap during the workshop.
