Description
The Advanced Concepts Team of the European Space Agency is organising a Workshop on Memristive systems for Space applications at ESTEC, Noordwijk, Netherlands. The memristor is regarded as being the fourth fundamental circuit element. Due to its scalability and versatility it attracted enormous attention as the building block of the next generation of electronic circuits. Its properties make it suitable for many applications ranging from memory (non-volatile RRAM), logic (FPGA) and neuromorphic computing, providing better energy efficiency, higher density and massive parallelism. The Workshop on memristive systems for Space applications aims at exploring the relevance of memristive systems for space applications. By fostering a discussion involving industry and academia, it will provide the state of the art on related research and development activities and aims at initiating a discussion leading to a potential high-level R&D roadmap for their use on space applications. There is no registration fee, but people interested in attending should register by contacting act@esa.int http://www.esa.int/gsp/ACT/events/workshops/ws_2015_Apr_30.html
