A common hardware used by thermal engineers in spaceflight projects are polyimide (Kapton®) and all-polyimide foil electrical resistance heaters. The Plato normal front end electronics (N-FEE) unit is an iso-statically mounted structure with high radiative coupling to the telescope cavity.
