Description

The European Space Agency (ESA) has initiated two contracts: one with Airbus Defence & Space and one with OHB. We are all pleased to invite you to participate in the IoT4EO 2023 Workshop that will take place at ESA-ESTEC in Newton 2 on 16-17 February 2023.

The IoT4EO (Internet of Things for Earth Observation) 2023 Workshop is intended to showcase and explore the landscape of seamless integrated networks with nearly instant connectively to Earth Observation (EO) satellites in Low Earth Orbit (LEO).

The event will be in Hybrid format (on-site and Webex) to maximise the number of participants, but only onsite ones will be able to ask questions.

16th Feb. afternoon: In the first set of sessions, presentations will be given by ESA, potential EO end users benefitting for this quick reactivity, and the two study consortium members to set the scene, and report on study progress & present potential EO use cases. This will be followed by addressing current practices and new needs and prospects for EO-satellite providers if they could have access to added value IoT connectivity. The first afternoon will be completed with presentations from other related IoT ESA contracts. It is also intended to have a networking gathering at the end of the day.

17th Feb. morning: The second set of sessions during the morning the day after will be dedicated to IoT providers to present their IoT services of their respective constellation capabilities, as well as their future needs.

The workshop will finally give the opportunity for companies to express their interest & provide early feedback on the on-going studies. The Workshop will finalise with a round table to prepare conclusions.
