Workshop to discuss advances in the International Radiation Environment Near-Earth (IRENE) modelling initiative.
This workshop, which is a joint event organized by AE-9/AP-9/SPM Technical Team, European Space Agency, Space Applications & Research Consultancy and the Hellenic Space Center (local organization) - welcomes contributions on the following topics:
- Energetic Charged Particle Datasets Near Earth
- Newly flown instruments with known response functions
- Updated data sets with at least one year of flight data availability
- Intercalibration
- * Data accessibility and data sharing
- Modelling of the Radiation Belts and Plasma near Earth
- Main Topic: Climatology modeling methods and implementation
- Discussion: convergence of IRENE with other climatology models
- * Model comparisons and validation
- * Using simulations to support climatology modeling
- Effects Tools and End User Perspectives (**hybrid participation)
- Intent is for users to dial in to discuss their experience with IRENE
- * Cislunar Environments
- Solar particles near 1 AU, including solar wind and SEP
- Deep tail
- Climatology modeling
*Additional Topic: Amount of time given to these topics will depend on submissions
**Only the user perspectives session will support remote participation
We are glad to announce that 40 attendees have confirmed their participation.
