Workshop to discuss advances in the International Radiation Environment Near-Earth (IRENE) modelling initiative.

This workshop, which is a joint event organized by AE-9/AP-9/SPM Technical Team, European Space Agency, Space Applications & Research Consultancy and the Hellenic Space Center (local organization) - welcomes contributions on the following topics:

• Energetic Charged Particle Datasets Near Earth
  • Newly flown instruments with known response functions
  • Updated data sets with at least one year of flight data availability
  • Intercalibration
  • * Data accessibility and data sharing
• Modelling of the Radiation Belts and Plasma near Earth
  • Main Topic: Climatology modeling methods and implementation
  • Discussion: convergence of IRENE with other climatology models
  • * Model comparisons and validation
  • * Using simulations to support climatology modeling
• Effects Tools and End User Perspectives (**hybrid participation)
  • Intent is for users to dial in to discuss their experience with IRENE
• * Cislunar Environments
  • Solar particles near 1 AU, including solar wind and SEP
  • Deep tail
  • Climatology modeling
