The European Space Agency, ESA, invites space professionals and enthusiasts to join the “2025 Ecodesign Days”, which will take place from September 18th to 19th at ESTEC, in The Netherlands.

This event is dedicated to the sustainability of space mission, particularly in preparation of the ESA Ministerial Council 2025.

This 1,5-day event will focus on the advancements in the fields of eco-design for space systems and more sustainable space technologies.

Participants will engage in discussions on eco-design initiatives and projects such as EcoStars, which aims to create more sustainable satellite platforms, and the development of greener space technologies. During this gathering, attendees will also have the opportunity to demonstrate their interest in joining a consortium.

Additionally, there will be a dedicated session on simplified Life Cycle Assessment and tools which are considered key to achieve the ecodesign ambitions.

ESA will also introduce the issue related to the atmospheric impact of demise and launcher emission to complete the long-term vision of ecodesign.
