Final Call for Papers

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION IS CLOSED!

In collaboration with the MB4SE advisory group, the European Space Agency, AIRBUS and CNES are organising the third Model Based Space Systems and Software Engineering workshop: MBSE 2022. The event will be held at the AIRBUS Leadership Academy in Toulouse from Tuesday 22 November to Thursday 24 November 2022. The workshop will provide a forum to exchange practical experiences, lessons learned and novel ideas concerning applications of model-based techniques in the area of Space System Architecting, System and Software Engineering.

  • The objectives of this years' workshop can be found here.
  • Submission dead-line for short papers or workshop proposals will be Monday 6 June Extended -- Wednesday 15 June (EoB)
  • Notification of acceptance will be Wednesday 20 July

All submissions (original work, not published, proposed or submitted elsewhere, minimum two and not exceeding four pages A4 in size) will be peer reviewed by a programme committee composed of experts in the field. Last years' event was quite competitive, so that we were able to accept only half of the submissions, so please prepare well and focus on quality. In case your contribution is selected, you may be asked to adjust your short paper based on the reviewers comments, but a full paper is not required.

Submission rules:
All contributions to MBSE 2022 shall explicitly refer to the applicable workshop objective (or objectives) by listing the objective identifier(s) on the first line of the paper. Your contributions (your short paper and also your presentation at the workshop) must be cleared for publication by your employer. By submitting also you consent to the recording and publication of both your talk and your paper on the conference web-site. Cross submission of topics to SECESA 2022 is allowed if and only if the focus of your contributions are non-overlapping; this should be clear from your submissions.

Please send the final PDF version of your contribution to mbse2022@esa.int before the submission deadline.

The event will be organised as a hybrid event (both on-site and on-line participation) in order to maximize access under any potential COVID restrictions that may still apply. However, accepted contributions are expected to be presented on-site and in person, in order to foster discussions and exchange among all participants in a face-to-face setting. Early registration of speakers and employer publication consent will therefore be a mandatory condition for inclusion in the final workshop programme.

After two years of virtual workshops, we look forward to finally meet everyone physically! The workshop will also include among others panel sessions, key note speakers, tools presentations, discussion sessions and a hackaton. More details on those will be made available as soon as possible. For more information please check on our event website for the latest news and do not hesitate to contact us at mbse2022@esa.int

Feel free to forward this call for contributions to others in your network that may be interested to contribute!
